The Old Turner Inn

The largest room in the Inn, the King Suite has a king-size wrought iron bed, rich linens, wood-burning fireplace, and french doors that lead onto a private glass- enclosed sitting porch with a day bed and arm chair; the perfect spot for a nap or a good book. Beautifully decorated with antiques and original oil paintings, it has a very open, relaxed and romantic feel.

The full tile bath has a tub-shower combination. It is equipped with an air conditioner and heater; or just turn-on the ceiling fan to bring in Catalina’s velvety ocean breezes. The room is located upstairs along the front of the Inn.

   The tiled 3/4 bathroom has a large shower. It is equipped with an air conditioner and heater; or just turn-on the ceiling fan to bring in Catalina’s velvety ocean breezes.

   The Queen Suite is adjacent to the King Suite, upstairs at the front of the Inn.

A favorite room of many guests, the Seashell Room is decorated in soft shades and seashells. It has a king-size brass bed, wood-burning fireplace, original art portraying coastal scenes, ceiling fan and heater, and a wall of windows that let in soft morning light and ocean breezes.

It has a large tile bathroom with a tub-shower combination and is located on the second floor.

The only guest room on the main floor, the Garden Room is decorated in soft shades of green and apricot, has a king-size iron and brass bed, a wood-burning fireplace, antiques and original watercolor paintings of garden scenes.

It has a 3/4 tile bathroom with a shower. It is equipped with a ceiling fan and heater.

   The brightest guest room with the most sunshine, the Wicker Room is decorated in shades of dusty pink with wicker furniture. It has a queen-size bed, original art and antiques.

   This cozy and comfortable room has a full tile bathroom with a tub shower combination, ceiling fan and heater.

   Located upstairs at the back of the Inn, it is probably the quietest room in the house.

   The large Living Room on the main floor is where guest come to eat a scrumptious breakfast, enjoy light appetizers and wine in the evening, hang out around the large brick fireplace, read a book on the sunny glass enclosed front porch, socialize, or play the antique Steinway Grand piano. It is a wonderful space in which to sit and socialize or find a quiet corner and relax and read.

   The walls are covered with one of the finest collections of original oils and watercolors of Catalina Island. History abounds in the room with family photos taken on the Island as early as 1883, and a collection of Catalina memorabilia and books.

   If you’re lucky, the owners will show up for appetizers and tell stories of Catalina’s rich history dating back to when their grandparents came in the late 1800s.
